Let’s See When Students Can Expect to Receive Regular Admission Decisions

Did you prepare yourself for regular decision notification dates? Admissions offices allover the US are continuously working to get through thousands of regular decision college applications for the class of 2025, so they can send notifications to students of their decisions by the spring.

Basically, most colleges intend to have regular admission decisions prepared by the end of March. The COVID-19 pandemic has ushered many changes to the admissions cycle this year, also extended regular decision deadlines, which might affect decision dates.

The Ivy League schools have declared they will release regular decisions on April 6 – almost a whole week later than their usual timeline. Stanford has also pushed back their expected decision release date to April 9.

Due to the later decision notification date, all Ivy schools have extended their reply to May 3, 2021.

The early admissions cycle gave us a glance into what the regular decision pool might look like, with several colleges reporting record-high increases in early applications. 

It is likely application increases at some of the top colleges in the US will be just as high in the regular decision round, making for a much more competitive admissions cycle than ever before.

Let’s have a look at the regular application decision notification dates for the class of 2025.

Most of these dates are general, so be prepared to expect these dates to change as we draw closer to mid-March. It is also possible for colleges to post a release date only to move it up or postpone it to a later date, so these dates are subject to change.

Check back regularly for updated dates and times – especially for those labeled “TBD” or those with a general time frame (mid/late March, early April, etc.)
